Walker Design Project Featured on Love That Design
We’re proud to share that our The Bank of New York Office in Florida project has been featured on Love That Design. The article highlights our approach to creating a modern, biophilic workplace designed to foster collaboration, flexibility, and employee well-being.
About the Project
Breaking the mold of traditional office spaces, this headquarter campus draws inspiration from Florida’s stunning landscapes, creating a unique, uplifting environment that empowers employees to thrive. The design team approached this project with the desire to stand out, tie into the roots of the environment, and create a balance of inclusivity, harmony, and production amongst staff. Each design decision relates back to the nature-inspired theme, while also focusing on sustainable practices and environmental performance, making this project LEED Silver certified. Crafting an organic ambiance that embraces the calmness of Florida’s nature while promoting the vibrant energy of wildlife and sunshine is demonstrated throughout the design by the extensively selected biophilic materials. Eye catching contemporary light fixtures awaken the space by juxtaposing against the earthy backdrop.

Visitors and staff feel welcomed immediately by the sumptuous and lively aesthetic. A thoughtful mix of materials, color, and lighting helps to navigate the end user easily throughout the floors and demonstrates a zoning guide. A combination of open and floating ceilings define the quiet and intimate spaces, while also encouraging conversation and collaboration in other areas. Every detail is carefully planned to combine functionality with design excellence. Home to over 3,000 employees, this campus has an array of amenities to fit any cause. Cutting edge technology helpdesks, commercial kitchens and coffee bars, a high-end fitness center, all-inclusive medical offices including mental wellbeing and physical therapy rooms, prayer rooms, and much more, are all within walking distance of each of the staff. The campus seamlessly integrates formal and informal spaces, community areas for townhall gatherings, collaborative zones, and café inspired dining throughout the administrative floors. There is a space for every individual to work comfortably while productively excelling.
