Walker Design Featured in Solvino’s Membership Newsletter
We’re so grateful to the Solvino team for their continued collaboration – it’s always a joy to work alongside such passionate creatives. Please read below to learn more about this exciting project and get a sneak peak at our brand new renderings of the space.
Designing Solvino
When we first envisioned Solvino, there wasn’t a local reference point to draw from. We knew what it felt like in our minds—we’d experienced it countless times in places like Paris, London, Rome, Toronto, New York, and LA—but nothing quite like it existed in Central Florida.
The country clubs felt too buttoned-up for every occasion. The private social clubs in the area have too much bravado. What we were seeking was a space that balanced warmth, ambiance, and authenticity—something that didn’t yet exist here.
Enter Toby Walker, a Windermere local and principal at Walker Design. (If you receive the Butler Chain Living magazine you would have caught him with his lovely family on the cover!) From the moment we shared our enthusiastic and probably overly detailed story— backed by an endless stream of Pinterest boards—Toby and his team helped bring our vision into focus. Together, we’ve created something we believe is truly special.

The Bottle Shop
We started with the retail space, with one clear goal: to move far beyond the feeling of a liquor store that happens to carry wine—and even beyond the typical boutique wine shop. Wine is art. Wine is luxury. And no one would expect to purchase fine art or jewelry in a warehouse or a convenience store dressed up with IKEA shelves and high markups. So why do we accept that standard when it comes to wine?
Walker Design approached the space with the same reverence as a luxury fashion atelier—elevating the retail experience into one that honors the beauty, story, and soul behind every bottle.

The Members Lounge
As a member, you’ll scan your card at the cellar door and step into your personal oasis. The lounge is warm, moody, and welcoming—rich with textures, thoughtful lighting, and natural materials that invite connection and calm. Whether you’re here for an evening with friends or a solo glass of something beautiful, the space was designed to support meaningful moments.
And with our recent expansion, we’re even more excited to introduce The Library—a relaxed, intimate extension of the lounge. It’s where you might retreat after dinner, or simply drop in for a quiet glass and good conversation. The vision Walker Design has brought forward for this room took our breath away—it strikes the perfect balance between comfort and elegance, still and vibrant, refined and relaxed.
